TUESDAY MENS LEAGUE 2020

 

Rules Sheet

 

Day of Week:  Tuesday

Dates:  May 12th – September  22nd  (FINALE) 

T-times:  4:15-5:30

Format:  2-Man Team.  There are 3 points available in each match.  The low handicap players from each team will play against each other, as will the two high handicap players.  One point will be awarded to the team whose player shoots the lowest net score (actual score minus handicap) in each of these two team matches.  The third point will be given to the team who shoots the lowest net “best ball” score (actual score minus handicap).

 

Entry Fee:  $50.00 (includes prize fund, CTP and season ending Steak Dinner).

 

Green Fee and Cart:  $16.75 per player.

Contests:  Optional Skins ($2.00 for skins)  Payouts are in cash the following week. 

 

Individual Handicap:  Each player will be required to sign-up for a ghin handicap.  The cost to sign-up is $20 per player.  We will use the ghin index each week to give you a handicap for the week.  Each individual will use 90% of their handicap.  Handicap will not be available until after 3 rounds have been played. 

 

Team Handicap:  for the team handicap will use 75% of the combined handicap for the team.

 

Subs:  YOU will be responsible for providing your own sub any given week! If you have exhausted all your contacts we will do our best to find one for you. You may bring in your own sub if need be.  80% of the subs first score will be used to help determine a handicap.  After that he will form a handicap. If your sub has a handicap from last year, then his handicap from the final week he played will be his starting handicap of this season. 

 

Maximum Score:  There will be a maximum score of triple bogey on any hole.

 

Gimmees:  Gimmees will be given inside the bottom colored portion of the flagstick.

 

Out-of-Bounds Rule:  A two club-length drop will be allowed at the point the ball crossed an out-of-bounds area (the area of drop must be in agreement with the other team), and add 2 strokes, or a player may re-hit from the tee, with a stroke and distance penalty.

 

Rain Policy:  A day is considered a rain-out when the Superintendent declares the course unplayable.  Rain-outs will be made up.  WHGC will not charge any player for a complete rain out (no holes played). For a week to be considered played, then 6 holes will had to have been played in order to count the points. Handicaps are still the same but will not be modified for the following week. If your team decides to not play, then no points will be awarded to your team if other team completes 6 or more holes. Please NOTIFY me or the other team if you are not going to show up!!

 

**BYE WEEKS: If we have an odd number of teams which would make us have to have a Bye Week, if your team has a bye week and you show up and play, then you would get all 3 points. If your team has a Bye Week and you DO NOT show up, your team will only receive 1 point. 

 

**Tees: We will have the opportunity for anyone ages 65 and older to play from the gold tees. If you do so, your handicap will be based off of the course rating from those tees, not the white tee rating.** Everyone will also play their respected tees for the CTP contest as well! 

 

If only one player shows for a team, he may win up to two (2) points.  He will automatically play against the other team’s low handicapper.  The other team automatically wins the other individual point. Each team will then play for the team point. Half of that showing player’s handicap will count for his “team” handicap. 

 

If a team does not show, and only one player from the other team shows, then two and a half points will be awarded to the showing player’s team. A half  point will be awarded to the non-showing team.
